About
About Aurelle Medina
Two courtyards, a plunge pool under orange trees and a hammam, two minutes from Jemaa el-Fnaa.
Aurelle Medina · The Hotel
The riad
A family house from the 1800s
The riad belonged to a family of spice traders. We restored it over two years with craftsmen from the medina: zellige tilers, plasterers and cedar carvers.

At the hotel
What is here
The things guests use most.
Hammam
Steam, black soap and a scrub with a kessa glove. Forty-five minutes.
Plunge pool
Tiled in green zellige, in the second courtyard.
Roof terrace
Dinner under the stars, with a view of the Koutoubia minaret.
Breakfast in the courtyard
Msemen, honey, fresh orange juice and mint tea.
Cooking class
Shop in the souk with our cook, then make a tagine.
Fireplaces
In the salon and six of the rooms, for winter nights.
The lane
Quiet, two minutes from the noise
Derb Sidi Bouloukat is a residential lane. Children play football in it after school; the baker next door fires his oven at five every morning.
Our manager, Youssef, grew up three lanes away. He will tell you which stalls on the square to eat at, and which to skip.
