The house
A merchant's house, rebuilt
The Andorinhas family built the house in the 1890s and sold cloth from the ground floor. We bought it in 2018, found the original tiles under three layers of paint, and spent three years restoring it.

Open from noon until midnight, with views over the river and the rooftops.

Our ground-floor restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

About 300 Portuguese wines, and a tasting most evenings at six.
Treatment room
One room, two therapists, massages booked by the hour.
Breakfast until 11
Served at the table, with pastries from the bakery next door.
Honesty bar
In the library on the first floor. Pour your own and sign the book.
The street
Old Lisbon on the doorstep
The lanes around the hotel are mostly homes. You will hear neighbours talking across balconies in the morning and fado from a bar two streets down at night.
Most of our team grew up within a few streets of the hotel. Ask them where to eat and they will tell you where they eat.
